How to Play 2048

2048 is a sliding tile puzzle where you combine numbers to reach the 2048 tile.

Rules

• Use arrow keys or swipe to slide all tiles
• When two tiles with the same number collide, they merge into one
• After each move, a new tile (2 or 4) appears
• Reach 2048 to win — but you can keep going!

Strategy

• Keep your highest tile in a corner
• Build a chain of descending values along one edge
• Avoid moving your high tile away from its corner
• Try to keep the board as empty as possible
