Large print sudoku is a normal 9 by 9 sudoku printed so big that each puzzle fills a whole page. Below you can download 6 free large print sudoku puzzles as one PDF: three easy and three medium, one per page, with numbers about half an inch tall and an answer key at the end.

What makes a sudoku "large print"
A regular newspaper or puzzle-book sudoku squeezes the grid into a few inches, with numbers around 10 to 12 point. That is fine for some people and tiring for many others, especially in the evening light or without reading glasses at hand.
Our large print pages do three things differently:
- The grid fills the page. Each puzzle gets its own sheet, edge to edge, so every one of the 81 boxes is about 0.8 inch (2 cm) wide.
- Bold, plain numbers. The given numbers are thick and dark, so they stay easy to tell apart from the ones you write in pencil.
- Clear 3 by 3 boxes. The lines around each box are much thicker than the thin lines between cells, so you always know which box a number belongs to.
The rules do not change: fill every row, every column and every 3 by 3 box with the numbers 1 to 9, each used once.
How to print them so they come out big
- Download the PDF with the button above. It holds all 6 puzzles and the answers, 8 pages in total.
- Open it and choose Print. In the print window, pick "Fit to page" (or "Fit") so it works on both US Letter and A4 paper.
- Print only the pages you want: pages 1 to 3 are easy, 4 to 6 are medium, 7 and 8 are the answers.

Tip: a soft pencil (HB or 2B) and an eraser make sudoku much more relaxing. Write small "maybe" numbers in the corner of a box, then erase them once you are sure.

The more numbers you are given, the gentler the puzzle. Every one of these six can be solved with the two basic moves only: finding the single number a box can hold, and finding the single box in a row, column or 3 by 3 square where a number can go. The medium ones simply give you fewer starting numbers, so you have to look a little longer.

Frequently asked questions
Are these large print sudoku puzzles really free?
Yes. Download, print and share them for personal use, at home, in a care home activity room or in a class. We only ask that you keep the NitroPlayer name on the page.
Will they print on A4 paper?
Yes. The pages are made for US Letter, and they fit A4 when you choose "Fit to page" in the print window. Nothing important sits near the edge, so nothing is cut off.
Where are the answers?
On the last two pages of the PDF (pages 7 and 8). The numbers you were given are printed in black and the ones you fill in are grey, so you can check one box at a time without spoiling the rest.
Do I ever need to guess?
No. Every puzzle has exactly one solution and we checked that each can be finished by logic alone, using only the two basic sudoku moves.
Can I get larger print than this?
On paper, one puzzle per page is about as large as a 9 by 9 grid can go. On a screen there is no limit: open the online Sudoku and zoom in.
